Meet our chairman

Darren was born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. He studied at Yeshiva college matriculating at Eden College. He spent two years at Yeshivat Har Ezion in the Gush and a year at the Yeshiva Gedola of Johannesburg. Darren studied accountancy at university of SA and has a joint MBA from Kellogg school of business and Tel Aviv university. He has smicha from Machon Pirchei Shoshanim, Jerusalem.

He held senior leadership positions in South Africa including National chairman of Bnei Akiva SA, Rosh Machaneh and chairman of the SA Zionist youth council, an umbrella body incorporating all the Jewish youth movements and student bodies.

He made Aliya to Raanana with Rozanne a speech and Hearing therapist, in 1994. In 1997 they were founder members of Mevaser Zion. Their five sons, Roi, Eitan, Gabi, Yonatan and Ariel were all born in Israel.
