About Tel Mond
Tel Mond was founded in 1929 by ardent Zionist Sir Alfred Mond, later known as Lord Melchett, as a Yemenite ‘MOSHAVA’. In 1954 it became an independent municipality.Tel Mond today is a growing community which has a mixed population of around 8,000 inhabitants, living together in harmony. The town supports an excellent infrastructure, with good schools, an abundance of social & cultural activities, and a train station nearby for easy commuting.
Surrounded by orange groves in a lovely pastoral setting, Tel Mond is largely an upscale community of commuters and a very attractive place for young families.
